Throbak utilizes original 1950s Leesona 102 and Geo Stevens winding machines to replicate period-correct winding tension and scatter patterns. These pickups are unpotted by default to ensure the stiff, gritty midrange and bell-like harmonic headroom of a vintage PAF. The Throbak SLE-101 provides the quintessential 50s humbucker response and textured feel that modern CNC winders cannot replicate.
