The Sweet Spots 59 Bite builds on Grinning Dog’s Sweet Spots concept with a stronger edge to the tone. Voiced with reference to Paul Kossoff’s Blue Soul Bucker, it delivers a clean and natural response with added bite compared to typical P.A.F. style pickups.
Each unit is built with sand-cast Alnico 5 magnets matched to the magnetic force of vintage 1959 examples, wound with 10,500 turns in the neck (around 8.0k) and 10,700 turns in the bridge (around 8.2k).
Construction follows period-correct practice: US-sourced magnet stock, 42 AWG vintage wire, wax potting, vintage-style solder, and vintage Western Electric 20 ga hot cable.
Supplied with aged nickel covers.
