ThroBak Electronics began in 2002 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a small boutique effect pedal and pickup maker. Founded with a dedication to USA-made quality, ThroBak has grown into the world's premier P.A.F. and P-90 pickup reproduction maker.

Winding a pickup at ThroBak is done on machines from the Kalamazoo factory in the 1950s. The quirks of these machines, and how they affect the pickup wind, are part of what makes a ThroBak pickup unique.

ThroBak P.A.F. reproductions are crafted with the exact materials and cosmetics as the vintage originals. This dedication results in a reproduction pickup that is believed to be unrivaled in tone and detail.
