Ron Ellis Killa Neck, 50B Bridge Telecaster Pickup Set

This Telecaster set combines the Killa neck pickup with the 50B Broadcaster bridge pickup.

The Killa is an open top Telecaster neck pickup designed to emulate the character of a Broadcaster bridge pickup. Originally developed for Jedd Hughes, the design brings Broadcaster style response into the neck position while preserving the tonal range associated with early Broadcaster pickups.

The open top construction allows the pickup to deliver strong attack and clarity while maintaining classic Telecaster character.

The 50B bridge pickup is a vintage recreation of the earliest Broadcaster bridge pickups. It emphasizes dimensional harmonics surrounding the fundamental note and produces compression and bloom in the upper mids and top end.

Compared with the more fundamental 52T bridge pickup, the 50B delivers greater harmonic content and additional energy in the upper frequencies.

The design captures the bite and energy associated with early 1950s Broadcaster pickups and is often associated with tones heard from players such as Roy Buchanan, Keith Richards and Mike Campbell.

Together, the Killa neck and 50B bridge provide a Telecaster set with strong attack, harmonic richness and classic Broadcaster character.
