The 50/60S are a flagship Stratocaster set designed to combine tonal characteristics from both the 1950s and 1960s eras.

After developing the 64S and 57S models, Ron Ellis sought to merge the harmonic qualities associated with each period, resulting in the blended specification found in the 50/60S.

The 50/60S produce a tight, punchy response on the E, A, and D strings, with natural compression and bloom on the G, B, and high E strings. The set is calibrated for balanced string-to-string response across a wide range of Stratocaster wood combinations.

This tonal profile is commonly associated with players such as John Mayer, David Gilmour, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and supports a broad range of playing styles.
