The Jazzmaster Teisco Gold Foil is Mojo Pickups’ interpretation of the classic 1960s Teisco style Gold Foil, engineered to fit a standard Jazzmaster footprint.
It is a true single coil design built to original vintage specifications, using 44 AWG wire and rubberised ceramic magnets. This construction produces the slightly compressed attack and soft but punchy magnetic response typical of original Japanese Gold Foil units.
Compared to traditional Jazzmaster pickups, this design offers a brighter and more immediate response with increased clarity and string separation. The low end remains controlled, while the upper mids are more pronounced, giving notes a clear and defined character.
The neck pickup measures approximately 6.1 kΩ for balance and articulation, while the bridge pickup measures approximately 7 kΩ for added presence and drive.
