Mojo Roy Watkins Prototype Two Bridge Pickup
1949 Inspired Single Coil Bridge Pickup
€139.00
Out of stock
The Roy Watkins Prototype Two Bridge Pickup is Mojo Pickups' interpretation of one of the earliest electric guitar pickup designs, inspired by the 1949 Roy Watkins prototype known as "Prototype Two."
Built as a tribute to this historically significant design, it combines vintage inspired construction with modern reliability while preserving the distinctive character of the original concept.
The pickup uses Alnico 3 magnets and measures approximately 8.1 kΩ, delivering the open, dynamic response associated with early post-war single coil designs.
Unlike later Watkins designs, this version does not feature the original elevator baseplate. As a result, the bridge will require a separate ground connection during installation.
