As most of Marc's customers know, Marc is a Pre-CBS Fender fanboy. Since he started making pickups in 2011, Marc has been on a quest to make them as accurate as possible and to clone the pickups from Marc's own vintage collection and the ones Marc has been fortunate enough to play and test.
Marc is also a collector and hoarder of vintage magnet wire from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
Hand-wound or scatter-wound to Vintage Specs, these pickups are currently being wound with Vintage 1950s N.O.S Plain Enamel wire.
Featuring cloned or vintage-correct 0.195″ Alnico 5 magnets for the bridge and 0.187" for the neck.
Neck covers are nickel silver and nickel-plated, made in England.
Bobbins are dipped in nitrocellulose lacquer, just like they did back in the day.
Neck measures 7K and Bridge 7.3K.
Lightly wax potted to reduce microphonic feedback.
Cloth-covered hook-up wire is used.
Each set comes with mounting screws and rubbers.
