The 65 Style Stratocaster set recreates the first grey-bobbin Strat pickups introduced in mid-1965.
Using 42 AWG plain enamel wire and Alnico 5 magnets with the same stagger and spacing as originals, this set produces bright, defined highs with strong articulation and slightly less compression than earlier black-bobbin winds.
Neck wound to about 6.0k (7,800 turns), middle 6.1k (7,900 turns), bridge 6.2k (8,000 turns).
