Description

Emerson’s 3-Way Telecaster prewired kits are their most popular offering—and for good reason: they improve tone. Built with premium components, these kits outperform the stock electronics found in most factory guitars. Each potentiometer is hand-metered and matched to ensure consistent values and an even taper, giving players smoother control, especially when rolling back the volume—no more muddy tone.

The Emerson Paper in Oil capacitors, modeled after those found in vintage Fenders and Gibsons, deliver a warm, musical response. Every kit is carefully handwired in Bixby, Oklahoma, with attention to detail and clean solder work. These are built to last and perform reliably, both in tone and craftsmanship.

This is a 3-Way Tele prewired assembly designed for Telecaster-style guitars with two single-coil pickups. It fits most American Fender Teles with no modification required. (Note: For the Reverse Control Plate kit, refer to the install notes below.)

The assembly uses vintage-style 22 AWG push-back wire and heat-shrink insulation at the jack connections for added durability. For import guitars with metric-sized pots, slight reaming of the control plate holes may be needed to fit the larger US-spec pots, along with US-spec knobs.

BUILT & SPACED FOR USE ON STANDARD USA FENDER STYLE TELE CONTROL PLATES. CENTER TO CENTER OF VOLUME AND TONE POTS IS 2.50 INCHES. IMPORT GUITAR'S CONTROL PLATES MAY BE SPACED DIFFERENTLY

Reverse Control Plate Setup Note: Volume, Tone & 3-way Switch. (Volume Control is parallel to the bridge pickup for players that like to use their volume knob a lot for swells and more overall control). Due to the nature of "flipping your controls" you may have to modify your existing cavity route by lengthening the area underneath the the control plate to fit the reverse control layout.
