This is a used set of Don Mare Junior Watson Stratocaster pickups, originally custom-wound for blues legend Junior Watson. These pickups were later renamed the Super Sports set, drawing inspiration from the 1964 era-widely considered the best for vintage Strat tones.

The Junior Watson set features enamel-coated 42 AWG wire and Alnico V magnets, delivering a soulful, dynamic sound that’s both full and organic. The bridge pickup is hotter than typical vintage Strat pickups, making it ideal for players who want a bridge tone with punch but without the shrill high-end often found in stock pickups.
