Lundgren Pickups has been building serious gear in Sweden for decades. They’re best known for shaping the sound of modern metal - especially through the M7, developed in collaboration with Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah. That pickup helped define an entire genre’s tone and put Lundgren on the map as a go-to for extended-range clarity and tight low end.
But they don’t stop at high-gain. From PAF-style sets like the Heaven 57 to full-range Jazz Bass pickups, Lundgren builds for players who care about response and feel, not just specs. Whether you're playing progressive metal or chasing vintage tones, these are tools built to work in the real world.
What We Stock
We carry a selection of Lundgren’s best-known models:
Heaven 57 – Balanced, vintage PAF-style humbuckers
The One – Higher output but not overcompressed

M7 – Originally built for Meshuggah’s 7-strings
M6 and M8 – Built on the same design: M6 for 6-strings, M8 for 8-strings
Multiscale versions of M7 and M8
The Anomaly – Medium output, full-range humbucker developed with Per Nilsson
Jazz Bass pickups – Strong output, vintage response
Key Highlights
M7 was developed with Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah - one of the first boutique pickups made specifically for extended range and ultra-tight tracking under distortion. It remains a favorite for 7-string metal players looking for precision.
M6 brings that same clarity and midrange focus to standard 6-string guitars.
M8 extends it to 8-strings while keeping the low end focused and usable.
The Heaven 57 is well-balanced and dynamic. A favorite among boutique guitar builders wanting a reliable, no-nonsense PAF sound.
The Anomaly is a medium-output humbucker developed with Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry, Meshuggah). Designed for a wide frequency range and clear note separation, it delivers tight lows, detailed mids, and open highs - ideal for progressive metal and complex arrangements.
Why Boutique Guitar Pickups Carries Them
Because Lundgren covers what most boutique brands don’t: modern metal pickups that track tight, and vintage-style sets with true character.
